Unions and employers sign the State Pact for the Industry

The Social Agents of the Spanish Industry have proceeded today, at the headquarters of the Economic and Social Council, to sign the Declaration for the Industry, in which they have urged the Government, the Political Parties, the Legislative Powers and the Authorities, Institutions o Public Powers with powers in the economic or social field to assume a State Pact for Industry  that allows the development of State measures and policies that constitute an industrial policy sustained over time. Thus, a State commitment is called for to help Spain achieve the objective set by the European Union of increasing the weight of the industry in the overall GDP to at least 20% . jointThe Declaration has been signed by the highest representatives of UGT-FICA Federation of Industry, Construction and Agri-Food Industry, CCOO Federation of Industry, CCOO Federation of Construction and Services, CCOO Federation of Citizen Services, as well as by the business organizations that constitute the Alliance for the Competitiveness.

Spanish Industry - promoter of this initiative -, which represents the sectors of Automobile (Anfac), Refining and Marketing of Petroleum Products (AOP), Chemicals and Pharmacy (Feique), Paper (Aspapel), Cement ( Oficemen), Food and Beverages (FIAB) and Steel (Unesid) which, together, generate 50% of the industrial GDP and more than 4 million jobs in our country. The Metal sector (Confemetal), the Automotive Equipment and Component Manufacturers sector (Sernauto), the Textile sector (CIE), the Fashion sector (Moda España), and the of Footwear (FICE). In the document, the signatory business and union organizations demand the UAE Phone Number List design and development of nine policies to promote industrial competitiveness: 1. Stable Energy Policy that guarantees energy supply at a competitive price, which addresses the necessary restructuring of Industry and Economy , which prioritizes research, development and innovation of new sustainable technologies, which promotes Spanish energy independence with the development of renewable energies, cogeneration and indigenous resources and which preserves demand management systems.



Logistics and Transport infrastructure policy that allows improving the efficiency, competitiveness and sustainability of the different modes of freight transport and intermodal infrastructure, as well as accelerating the access of companies based in Spain to international markets. 3. R&D&I and technological and digital development policy that facilitates and supports the innovative activity of companies and, on the other hand, allows attracting and developing advanced and specialized public, private and mixed centers in Spain in those transversal areas and essential to provide the industry with a technological base. It is also essential to increase public and private investment in research, development and innovation that increases the generation of productions with greater added value. 4. Training and employment policy that guarantees the development of talent and training of workers throughout their working life, considering that they constitute the main and most valuable asset of the company in society.
