TheMid-Autumn Festival originated in ancient times, became popular in the HanDynasty, formed in the early Tang Dynasty and reigned after the Song Dynasty.The Mid-Autumn Festival is a synthesis of autumn seasonal customs. Most of thefestival customs factors contained in it has ancient origins. The Mid-AutumnFestival symbolizes the reunion of people with the full moon. To place thefeeling of missing hometown and relatives, and to pray for harvest andhappiness, it has become a rich, colorful and precious cultural heritage. TheMid-Autumn Festival, the Spring Festival, the Qingming Festival and the DragonBoat Festival are known as the four traditional festivals in China. Influencedby Chinese culture, the Mid-Autumn Festival is also a traditional festival forsome countries in East and Southeast Asia, especially local Chinese andoverseas Chinese.
