Given the regrettable decision, the Presidency of the Sahrawi Government and the General Secretariat of the Polisario Front issued the following statement: Declaration text: With much astonishment, the government of the Sahrawi Republic and the Popular Front for the Liberation of Saguia El-Hamra and Rio de Oro (Polisario Front) were informed this afternoon of the content of the two statements issued by the Moroccan occupier and the Government of the Spanish administrative power, and consequently they want to express the following: - The position expressed by the Spanish government is absolutely in contradiction with international legitimacy.
The United Nations, the African Union, the European Union, the International Court of Justice, the European Court of Justice and all regional and continental organizations do not recognize any Japan Email List sovereignty of Morocco over Western Sahara. Furthermore, Spain, along with France, the country that drew the borders between Western Sahara and its three neighbors, Morocco, Algeria and Mauritania, has more legal and political responsibilities than others in defending recognized international borders and repelling Moroccan expansion. in addition to their responsibilities towards the Sahrawi people and the United Nations together. This responsibility does not expire as long as the Sahrawi people have not been able to exercise their inalienable right to self-determination and independence.
The position expressed in the two statements lacks credibility, seriousness, responsibility and realism, because it is a dangerous deviation, contradicts international legitimacy, supports the occupation, encourages aggression and the policy of fait accompli and flight forward, and intends legitimize the repression, war crimes, crimes against humanity and the looting of wealth that Morocco continues to use against the Sahrawi people in violation of international legitimacy resolutions. This occurs in a very serious context that the Western Sahara conflict is experiencing after the outbreak of the war in November , and the state of tension in the region due to the persistence of the Kingdom of Morocco in its expansionist policies and plans to disrupt the security and stability of the region.
